Another full day in Yerevan yesterday. Met Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of all Armenians His Holiness Karekin II at the Mother See of Etchmiadzin, the spiritual and governing centre of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
We discussed the importance of inter-religious dialogue to foster religious harmony, to show that all faiths can live together harmoniously.
The Armenian community may not be large in Singapore, but we greatly appreciate their contributions to our shared history. The Armenian Church at Hill Street is the oldest church in Singapore, and is a National Monument. It is one of several long-standing links between our two countries that we hope to grow, with more exchanges between our businesses and peoples. – LHL
